As you read through the divisions of the Paramedics you will see the complexity of the challenges and the wide spectrum of tasks and responsibilities they face daily.
Most importantly, you will see they are meeting these challenges as never before. We are responding to more emergency medical calls each year and performing more community outreach programs as well as providing more first aid, cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and safety presentations. Wellness initiatives are keeping our work force healthier and reducing injuries. Our medics are better trained and better equipped than at any time in the history of this Department. We continue to enjoy the strongest possible support from our commissioners, local volunteer fire and ambulance and police personnel, who truly care about the safety and well being of our personnel and who are unceasing in their support.
With the rapidly changing health care environment, the Haverford Township Paramedic Department must determine how it can best deliver efficient emergency services, while remaining the public's emergency medical safety net. We need to provide for improved emergency medical response, with improved quality and improved efficiency, while continuously monitoring our progress. As the Haverford Township Paramedic Department moves into 2008, we are a stronger and better Department than we ever were.We are doing what is necessary to make this an even better, more responsive, more representative Department and to ensure that each resident of Haverford Township receives the highest quality emergency medical services available. And, thanks to the men and women of this Department-we are succeeding!
